About Pha Mo E Daeng Cliff
Pha mo E Daeng is a cliff of red rock on the Thai-Cambodian at about 556 metres above sea level ,affording a panoramic view of the wilderness below which is known as
“Lower Khmer” to the south. Steps along the cliff lead to the Unseen Thailand bas-relief of 3 deities on the sandstone cliff ,a male figure presumed to be Kuvera ,one of the fore supreme lords of North ,or the figure of the high-ranking person of around the 12th century. In the second frame is a person seated on the Naga ,presumably Varuna or the Rain God or God Narai on his Naga carrier. The unfinished two figures of animals might be meant as the carriers of gods. The site is believed to have been a training ground for carvers of the Phra Wihan or Phrea Vihear Stone Sanctuary ,which is visivle from Pha Mo E Daeng viewpoint.
